Our Primary students have had a wonderful opportunity to watch the life cycle of Monarch butterflies up close.
Over the Easter break, three beautiful butterflies emerged from their chrysalises, with another expected very soon. Students have loved watching each stage of this change, from caterpillar to butterfly. It has been a great way to see nature in action and build their understanding of the world around them.
Recently, two of our Primary classes were excited to release their butterflies into the big wide world. Before their release, the butterflies were on display in the classroom. Staff and students were invited to drop in and take a closer look, and many classes enjoyed the chance to visit.
Our final butterflies will be released soon, bringing this special experience to a close.
We are very proud of the care and interest our students have shown throughout this experience. It has been a fun and meaningful learning opportunity for everyone involved.
